I’ve been examining my heart and I am finding that my prayers need to go deeper for my children. I am Praying for God to be first in their lives. I am Praying for their relationships to be strong, supportive and free of discord. I am Praying for His Word and His will to be clear to them. Something my mom said to Faye in the church parking lot…”you never stop being concerned for your children. They will always be in your thoughts and prayers. You and I know that we never stop praying for our kids. Those of you who have younger children or grandchildren, they still have decisions and milestones of life out in front of them: educational choices, marriage, job options, as well as significant moments of spiritual decision and commitment. Be praying already for God’s Spirit to be going ahead of them, preparing a godly spouse for them, surrounding them with godly influences, planning opportunities in advance where God can utilize their gifts and talents to draw praise to Him as well as drawing other people to Him. What a privilege we have taking all of life’s matters to Him in prayer.
Father, I lift up my children, and grandchildren up to you. “May the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be pleasing to You, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.” Psalm 19:14
We stand with you in prayer. If you have time to come and pray, pastor and I will be at the church on October 26 from 9 till noon. We would love to pray with you and for your family. You also know that we have a very active prayer chain, and Mountain Movers prayer group every Wednesday night at 7:00. Take advantage of these special opportunities to pray together. In Christ’s, Love, Sandy
