HAPPY NEW YEAR – God’s Richest Blessings to You All the Way Through

Ephesians 3:20,21  “Now to HIM… who is able…to DO…exceeding abundantly…above allllllllll that we ask… or think, according to THE power (that’s God’s power) that works in US, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”

My mind gets flooded with ‘stuff,’ racing with expectation, improvement, heart-desire, and a need to hear from my awesome God who is able…to DO…exceeding abundantly……(you can finish it out). Do you know Him? This awesome God. Part of the grand adventure of following God is that He ALWAYS goes before us so there’s no need to fear the future. This is especially pertinent with all the Covid-19 surprises that we’ve been experiencing. The other part of the grand adventure of following God is that as  I grow, He sees where I need to head next to keep the direction moving toward Christ-likeness, which is God’s ultimate will for every breathing person. (Check your pulse; that includes you.) But God has a unique ability to have enough power to complete in each one of us, what He has begun. So the apostle Paul’s benediction become my heart-driven prayer for each member of Christ’s Kingdom in the Nazarene Church family here through the year. I am convinced that God has some wonderful lessons, and direction, and blessings, and miracles for each one of us to experience in 2021. No people have ever lived in better days than these! This year promises to hold yet unknown, but marvelous blessings for those who tune into God’s page for them, live with God-hungered expectation and excitedly seek all He has for you, in this new year, with alllllll you heart, and allllll your mind, and with alllll your soul, and alllllll your strength. The simple qualification we find here doesn’t lie in the amount we provide, but the ‘completeness’ that we provide Him. But as I think of the promise of the new year, God may call some to respond in ministry in ways you haven’t before. Some may decide it’s time to participate in worship with allll of your heart, unlike maybe you did before. When I think of the way God seems to be opening some doors at Bangor Church of the Nazarene,…..in leading us to Dennis Williams who has a heart for taking our church to the next level of ministry here in Bangor and Slate Belt community it is amazing. All they need to do yet is sell their home and purchase one up here. We will keep you posted. They can’t wait to roll up their sleeves and ‘dig in’ in leading us in ministry. As we continue forging forward in our building expansion, our HVAC system is moving close to completion. All of this to improve our serve to the Lord and to our community, so God can be recognized for who He really is, and His Kingdom grow. God is piecing this all together for such a time as this. Then I think of the Fire Schools we have had with our Brother Rob McCorkle in recent years. As we’ve learned what God has taught him in his study of the impact purity and power in the Holiness movement has brought to the church, God’s Kingdom and why we are ‘key’ in God’s mission.  Then when I hear how God is using a brother, Dan Bohi as he ministers across our nation.  Wherever he goes, people testify to God’s redemptive work in them as they are touched spiritually, emotionally, and physically. Family relationships find God’s healing, and the obvious work of God’s Spirit is seen. I would just say, as we journey together this year, let’s corporately, as well as individually commit ourselves to discover all the wholeness God wants us to know personally as well as in the Body of Christ. “Lord, may our lives be consumed by Your divine Presence that we might experience a 21st Century Pentecost at Bangor church of the Nazarene this year. Amen.”
